Infrastructure Manager

About the role

The Infrastructure Manager (IM) oversees the drawings and plans of new developments, including low voltage drawings for the IT department while working in conjunction with the Design Development department. This role involves designing and planning the architecture of information systems, including the layout of networks, hardware components, and low voltage systems like telecommunications, security systems, and data centers (both individually and with independent contractors).

Responsibilities

• Serves as the IT primary point of contact for ISP carriers and service providers.
• Create and review technical drawings and plans for new development projects (or in conjunction with outside contractor).
• Review/Design network and system architecture that incorporate low-voltage systems.
• Assess third-party solutions and integrations to enhance system functionality and performance.
• Troubleshoot and remediate issues impacting the operations and data infrastructure.
• Aids in planning and the implementation of systems and network integrations following mergers or acquisitions.
• Aids in Sysadmin projects and issues.
• Aids in helpdesk support tickets.
• Aids in after-hours emergencies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Three or more years of experience in network design, system architecture, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology or similar field preferred.
• CompTIA Network+, Server+, CCNA, or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office products, Active Directory, Windows servers, and a keen grasp on the basic principles of networking at an organizational level.
• Must be detail-oriented and task-oriented.
• Must have strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must have the ability to work both in a team and independently.
• Valid driver’s license.
