Key Responsibilities
- Design and update layer‑1 circuit layout records in TIRKS to reflect network builds.
- Resolve inventory discrepancies using EIRG/FIRG databases and job aides.
- Collaborate with Planning and Engineering to provision equipment and infrastructure circuits.
- Maintain accurate network infrastructure records across all relevant applications.
- Process internal network orders in accordance with SLAs, ensuring on‑time performance.
- Manage the assigned order queue, prioritizing tasks and meeting KPI expectations.
- Provide technical support for engineering, installation, and testing of network orders.
- Evaluate design challenges and recommend remediation solutions.
- Document design layouts and support troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
- Continuously learn new products and procedures to improve job performance.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of TIRKS experience building and maintaining network infrastructure.
- Proven design experience for fiber, voice, and data circuits.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and documentation.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills with clear communication.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Self‑motivated, able to work independently and meet KPI expectations.
- Able to follow established procedures to fulfill order requirements accurately.
- Robust technical understanding of voice, data, Ethernet, and related equipment.
- Knowledge of optical networking equipment such as Ciena, Fujitsu, Alcatel/Lucent.
- Familiarity with telecommunications inventory systems (TIRKS, OMNIvue, WMS, WFMT, BOSS).
- Understanding of inside‑plant fiber‑optic structured wiring design, construction, and operations.
