About the role
You'll help develop and deliver the factories, grids, transit systems, and public infrastructure that keep communities moving—and do it smarter, safer, and more sustainably than ever before. You'll work alongside project managers, engineers, technologists, and strategists who blend real-world experience with digital innovation and AI, transforming how capital projects are planned, managed, and executed.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with land use, planning, and development experts to streamline the end-to-end development process
- Work across multiple teams and departments to eliminate gaps and ensure cohesive project execution
- Lead cross-functional coordination during the review, due diligence, design, and permitting phases of data center projects
- Establish and manage delivery teams tailored to the specific needs of each development project
- Bring commercial and practical experience to overcome complex land development challenges
- Ensure development timelines are met to support the timely construction of critical infrastructure
- Identify risks and proactively develop solutions to keep projects on track and within budget
- Implement and enforce efficient development practices to achieve organizational business targets
- Act as a central point of accountability for development-phase milestones across multiple projects
- Communicate progress and challenges effectively to senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Planning, or related field
- Minimum of 7 years direct experience in Land Development or consulting work in Land Development
- Minimum of 7 years experience in project management, working on projects engaging directly with municipalities, AHJs, and utility districts to drive appropriate resolutions to development
- Minimum of 7 years of combined working experience in the land development, design, permitting, and construction industries
Preferred qualifications
- Direct data center development experience
- Experience in working through zoning, land use, and permitting in multiple markets
- Specific knowledge of land use planning and development, including due diligence processes and contracting, A/E design processes, zoning, permitting, utility delivery, and full entitlement
Pay
$120,000 - $155,000 a year. Compensation varies depending on factors including specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
Work location
Onsite at client site. Locations include Milwaukee, WI; Madison, WI; Detroit, MI; Chicago, IL; Des Moines, IA; and Indianapolis, IN.
