Position Summary
The Infrastructure Administrator supports DDC’s core IT infrastructure, including network systems, Microsoft Windows Server, Hyper-V virtualization, SAN/storage platforms, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365/Azure services, endpoint/security tools, and backup/disaster recovery systems. This role works under the direction of the IT Manager to maintain reliable, secure, and well-documented IT operations across the organization.
Key Position Accountabilities
- Assist in the administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure including switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls, and VPN connectivity.
- Support Microsoft Windows Serer, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, and related IT systems.
- Monitor network performance and assist with system upgrades, patches, and preventative maintenance activities.
- Respond to helpdesk tickets and provide technical support for hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
- Aid in cybersecurity initiatives including user access management, endpoint protection, vulnerability remediation, and security awareness efforts.
- Maintain IT documentation including network diagrams, procedures, inventory records, and technical standards.
- Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
- Assist in evaluating, implementing, and supporting AI tools designed to improve business productivity, engineering processes, manufacturing operations, and administrative functions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI-driven process improvements and automation.
- Research emerging AI technologies and provide recommendations regarding potential business applications.
- Participate in IT projects involving network expansion, infrastructure modernization, cloud technologies, and AI integration.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, cybersecurity standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience supporting network infrastructure, systems administration, or IT operations.
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, wireless technologies, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments and Microsoft 365.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and best practices.
- Exposure to cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure or AWS preferred.
- Exposure to Artificial Intelligence tools, automation platforms, or data analytics technologies is highly desirable.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft, Cisco, or AI-related certifications are a plus.
