About the role
The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA), Technology Services Division (TSD) is seeking a highly knowledgeable and skilled Network Architect to join our fast-paced team. The successful candidate will act as the lead Network Architect for CDTFA, including all aspects of the enterprise network.
Responsibilities
- Act as the lead Network Architect for CDTFA, including all aspects of the enterprise network.
- Provide guidance to and mentor other members of the network and information technology teams.
- Delegate responsibilities to other Network Administrators.
- Monitor network performance.
- Expertise in networking technology, including: public cloud networking (Azure and AWS), switching, routing, firewalls, as well as networking concepts, topologies, and technologies.
Requirements
- Expertise in networking technology, including: public cloud networking (Azure and AWS), switching, routing, firewalls, as well as networking concepts, topologies, and technologies.
- Knowledgeable in ITIL service management principles.
- Experience with network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in network architecture and management.
- CISSP certification preferred.
