Information Technology Specialist

One Federal Solution (OFS) is seeking experienced Information Technology Specialists to support our Federal Government client in New London, Connecticut. The IT Specialist will provide hands-on technical support for IT infrastructure, digital systems, public-facing technology, network connectivity, AV systems, and interactive technologies within a high-availability environment. OFS is seeking two qualified individuals for this position. Key Responsibilities Monitor and maintain internal and public-facing networks to support reliable connectivityPerform approved system backup, restoration, patching, and data-protection activitiesSupport authorized user account requests, permissions, onboarding, and offboarding processesProvide technical support for gallery, theater, presentation, streaming, lighting-control, and event technologiesMaintain digital displays, interactive components, media servers, kiosks, sensors, and related systemsTroubleshoot hardware, software, AV, and network-related issuesSupport visitor Wi-Fi while maintaining appropriate separation between public and internal systemsMaintain gallery and theater IT systems, media servers, and related technologyPerform routine software updates, patch management, and system maintenanceEnsure system maintenance and updates do not disrupt required accessibility featuresInvestigate and resolve reported IT/AV system failures, hardware malfunctions, and software defectsSupport technical requirements for special events and public programsWork collaboratively with technical and nontechnical personnel to resolve system issues Qualifications & Requirements Three (3) to six (6) years of systems administration or technical support experienceProficiency supporting both Windows and macOS environmentsHands-on experience with VLANs, VPNs, and robust Wi-Fi mesh networksKnowledge of cybersecurity principles, including threat mitigation, firewalls, and data encryptionExperience supporting cloud storage and SaaS platformsExperience troubleshooting and repairing computer hardware and related technical equipmentStrong troubleshooting, customer service, and communication skillsMust be able to successfully complete required Federal background and suitability screening Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting a museum, library, gallery, public attraction, or other high-uptime environmentBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; professional experience and certifications may be considered for substitutionCompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or similar industry certificationAWS, Azure, or Google Workspace Administration certificationDigital Asset Management (DAM) or collection database experienceAV integration experience, including multi-screen displays or interactive technologiesDisaster recovery experienceExperience training and supporting nontechnical users About One Federal Solution One Federal Solution (OFS) is an innovative Professional Services provider with over 20 years of experience supporting Defense and Civilian agencies.
