Responsibilities
- Install and maintain personal computer related hardware on the County's information management system.
- Organizes and prioritizes requests for service.
- Responds to trouble calls regarding the computer system and repairs or works with a vendor to resolve hardware problems.
- Visit departments throughout the County to trouble-shoot, repair, and maintain computing related equipment problems.
- Provides technical and training support to department personnel for all computer related equipment.
- Creates documentation to educate users.
- Researches and evaluates new software and hardware technologies that could enhance the computer system.
- Specifies and recommends the purchase of new software, hardware, and other related items.
- Manage, maintain and deploy phones for all county users.
- Manage/process work orders on a daily basis.
- Accurately keep track of time and tasks completed on work requests and projects.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in computer sciences or related fields
- Two (2) years of technical computing experience
- One (1) year of experience of working with medium to large networks in multiple buildings connected via fiber
- CompTIA Network+ certification or equivalent networking focused training
Qualifications
- Candidates must pass a drug screen (which includes testing for THC) in order to be hired for this position.
