Information Technology Generalist 1
About the role
This position supports users and technology that keep agency operations functioning each day. The work includes troubleshooting, maintaining equipment, and ensuring systems run properly.
Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Assist users with hardware, software, and network issues across multiple locations
- System Maintenance: Install, update, and service devices such as workstations, mobile equipment, and peripherals
- Incident Resolution: Analyze and resolve IT problems and escalate complex issues when needed
- Network Tools Use: Operate administrative tools to monitor systems and identify root causes of technology issues
- Documentation Tasks: Record work activities and manage service requests through established ticketing systems
- Equipment Coordination: Manage setup, testing, repair, and replacement of technology equipment for supported sites
Requirements
- One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Information Technology Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
- Three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services
- One year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field
- An equivalent combination of experience and training
- Experience working with Active Directory
- Experience imaging Windows workstations
- Experience in working user incidents through Incident Management software (examples include Remedy and Service Now)
- Experience using Microsoft Configuration Manager console
- Experience with IT Asset Management
- Experience providing mobile device management through Microsoft InTune
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- One or more years of full-time experience with the following: Experience working with Active Directory, Experience imaging Windows workstations, Experience in working user incidents through Incident Management software, Experience using Microsoft Configuration Manager console, Experience with IT Asset Management, Experience providing mobile device management through Microsoft InTune
Qualifications
This particular position also requires possession of a valid driver's license. This particular position also requires you to possess one or more years of full-time experience with the following: Experience working with Active Directory, Experience imaging Windows workstations, Experience in working user incidents through Incident Management software, Experience using Microsoft Configuration Manager console, Experience with IT Asset Management, Experience providing mobile device management through Microsoft InTune. Benefits
The position offers full-time employment with work hours of 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, ad hoc.
