About the role

This position supports the Department's critical law enforcement systems, including Records Management Systems (RMS), CLIPS, Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Mobile Data Terminals (MDT), and other essential applications within the Information Technology Bureau.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot software, system configurations, interfaces, and data exchanges.
  • Work closely with internal teams, partner agencies, and system vendors to resolve issues, gather requirements, and support system upgrades, migrations, and testing.
  • Provide technical support for major system changes and coordinate directly with vendors on troubleshooting and emergency needs.
  • Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation to support all critical systems.

Skills

  • Expertise in SQL Database (stored procedures, triggers, and scripts).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a strong focus on customer service and solution ownership.
  • Utilize reporting tools such as SSRS.
  • Work independently and collaboratively within a project team.

Requirements

  • Three years of experience in applications analysis and programming, systems analysis and design, including project leader responsibility.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, business administration, mathematics, or related field.
  • Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
  • All finalists for positions are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting Law Enforcement Critical Systems and Interfaces.
  • Database Administration experience.
  • Experience with data migration, data mapping, and data implementation.
  • Managing message queue (IBM MQ).
  • Supporting data exchanges, including open data.
  • Partnering with business users to translate requirements into technical design and solutions.
  • Gathering and designing technical specifications for customizations, reports, and testing.

Pay

Pay Range: $92,726.40 to $124,259.20 annually.

Hiring Range: $92,726.40 to $118,352.00 annually.

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity.
