About the role

Paul D. Camp Community College seeks adjunct instructors to teach Information Technology courses.

Responsibilities

  • Create a learning environment that facilitates students' acquisition of knowledge and skills in a subject.
  • Teach using instructional design, delivery, effectiveness, and expertise.
  • Engage in scholarly and creative activities, including conference attendance and presentation.
  • Support the college’s mission and policies.
  • Participate in college development and evaluation plans, department meetings, and committees.
  • Assist in emergencies as required.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with 18 graduate semester hours in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience designing and implementing curriculums aligned with student learning goals.
  • Knowledge of teaching strategies for traditional and non-traditional students.
  • Experience with online teaching and various technologies.
  • Ability to evaluate and enhance student learning using formative and summative assessments.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Commitment to staying current in the teaching discipline.

Qualifications

  • Online teaching certification.
  • Experience with online teaching and alternative delivery methods.
  • Willingness to incorporate AI into education.
  • Experience with technology integration in education.

Skills

  • Ability to design and implement curriculums.
  • Knowledge of teaching strategies for diverse students.
  • Experience with online teaching platforms.
  • Ability to evaluate and enhance student learning.

$793 per credit hour - minimum salary

Schedule

Online. May include work during the day, evening, or weekends. As needed by the institution during the academic year.
