Adjunct Instructor - Information Systems/Information Technology

About the role

The Department of Informatics at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) seeks candidates to fill Adjunct Instructor positions. Candidates are expected to teach one or two introductory courses and advanced courses in support of our undergraduate and graduate programs.

Essential Functions

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses

Prerequisite Qualifications

• Successful candidates must have an MS degree in computing or a related area
• Demonstrate an expert grasp of knowledge in one or more of the following areas: information science, computer science, data science, communication, information technology, network administration, Information systems, human-computer interaction, Informatics, media technology, and/or social analytics
• Knowledge in computing pedagogy is a plus

• Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills

Pay

In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the rate for this position is $2668 per contact hour (USD).
