Information Systems Security Officer Senior

About the role

The Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) will support an AFLCMC weapon system program office (SPO) in ensuring the effective integration and maintenance of information systems across the program office. They will provide technical input, recommendations, and assistance with the implementation of both higher and granular-level cyber security approaches, methods, and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide network, hardware and software cybersecurity protection to enable secure and continuous operations.
• Ensure secure integration of software across survivability, planning, and test systems.
• Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies for SILs, labs, and digital test environments.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for mission software and environments.
• Support RMF package development, Authority to Test (ATT), and Authority to Operate (ATO).
• Align software integration with zero-trust principles, data tagging, and cross-domain solutions.
• Provide secure data transport, storage, and access controls across multi-level security (MLS) enclaves.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and 3+ years’ cybersecurity experience, or bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ cybersecurity experience, associate’s degree and 7+ years’ cybersecurity experience, or high school diploma (or GED) and 10+ years’ cybersecurity experience.

Desired Skills

• Work experience in a TS/SCI/SAP environment.
