Senior Information Systems Security Officer

About the role

The Senior Information Systems Security Officer will lead the security program for a major defense contractor, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive security policies and procedures
• Oversee security assessments and risk management activities
• Ensure compliance with DoD 8140.03 and other relevant regulations
• Manage security incident response and investigations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of IT operations

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
• 12+ years of relevant experience, or 16+ years of experience with an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree
• 10+ years of direct experience as ISSO or a combination of ISSO and other security-related roles supporting IC or DoD programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
• Proficient with customer security tools, corporate repositories, playbooks and guidelines
• Knowledgeable with applicable frameworks, regulations, standards, policies and procedures
• Operational understanding of server and IA technologies, internetworking protocols and services
• Certifications: DoD 8140.03 with IAM Level II or higher (CASP+, CISSP or higher)

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
