About the role
The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) is responsible for ensuring that all systems and networks are secure and compliant with relevant regulations and policies. This position requires a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and the ability to conduct security assessments and audits.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
- Develop and maintain security policies and procedures to protect organizational assets.
- Respond to security incidents and breaches, coordinating with other security teams as necessary.
- Train and educate employees on security best practices and awareness programs.
- Stay current with emerging threats and technologies, and recommend appropriate security measures.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a security-related role.
- Experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and incident response tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a security-related role.
- Experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and incident response tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay
- $97,807 - $114,334 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
