Information Systems Intern (TEMP)

About the Role

The IS Intern will provide hands‑on assistance to PC Technicians and will occasionally assist and learn from other department positions such as Systems Engineers, Network Engineers, and Security Engineers. Working directly alongside PC Technicians, the intern will help upgrade computers, install software, and configure workstations for users throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Configure, install, maintain, and troubleshoot PC workstations, applications, and printers.
• Monitor the Help Desk ticketing queue, field tickets, and provide resolutions to users.
• Document resolutions in online tickets and close tickets accordingly.
• Attend departmental meetings.
• Shadow systems, security, and network engineers to learn about those fields.
• Consistently provide service excellence to patients, family members, visitors, volunteers, and co‑workers in line with Cape Cod Healthcare’s CARES values.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in high school or an undergraduate degree program.
• Experience using basic PC applications, including the Microsoft Office suite.
• Demonstrated commitment to service excellence and the CARES values of compassion, accountability, respect, excellence, and service.

Schedule

Temporary position, 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, with occasional weekends and holidays.

Pay

Hourly rate: $20 per hour.
