What You’ll Do
Excellent, part-time opportunity for a Secret-cleared ISSO. Please note: this position will be fully on-site and hours worked must be during the day.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the ISSO for S@S systems in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Navy cybersecurity policies
- Maintain system compliance under the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
- Develop, implement, and manage cybersecurity documentation (eMASS packages, SSPs, POA&Ms, etc.)
- Conduct continuous monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and remediation tracking
- Cybersecurity inspections, audits, and assessments
- Monitor system logs and investigate security incidents in coordination with cyber defense teams
- Support cybersecurity inspections, audits, and assessments
- Support IA/Cybersecurity requirements for LVC and distributed training environments
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM area of study is preferred.
- At least 3 years of related Information Assurance/Cybersecurity (IA/CS) experience, required.
- Strong knowledge of RMF, ATO processes, and DoD cybersecurity controls (NIST 800-53).
- Experience with vulnerability management tools (e.g., ACAS, SCAP).
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux environments and network security principles.
- Experience with eMASS or similar accreditation tools.
Certification Requirements
- CompTIA Security + is required.
- Candidates should also hold one of the following certifications: CISSP, SecurityX (formerly CASP+), CAP, CISM, or GSLC.
