About the role
The Information System Security Manager (ISSM) will provide cybersecurity technical advice to the Army of Operations (AO), Program Manager (PM), Information System Owner (ISO), System Controls Authority (SCA), and Program Management Office (PMO)/Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDT).
Responsibilities
- Maintain authorization documentation and oversight of Information Security Certification and Accreditation Management Tool (ISCM)
- Manage Program Objective Approval and Memorandum (POA&M)
- Coordinate remediation efforts and report on security-related events
- Ensure that Information Security Officers (ISSOs) and privileged users meet training and certification requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline
- At least ten (10+) years of cybersecurity experience
- Five (5+) years of experience as an ISSM or senior RMF lead for DoD systems
- Experience with ATO/ATC, eMASS, POA&M, SSP, ISCM, and AO/SCA coordination
- Credential: CISSP required/preferred; Security+ required; CAP/CASP+/CISM acceptable alternatives depending on the final Request for Proposal (RFP)
- Must meet DCWF ISSM work role 722 at the required proficiency level
Qualifications
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Effective communication skills with all levels of employees and external contacts
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work independently or as part of a team

- Physical demands: Able to lift up to 25 pounds, stand and walk for prolonged periods, twist, bend, and squat periodically
