Information System Security Manager III

About the role

The Information System Security Manager (ISSM III) oversees the Navy's cybersecurity program implementation and ensures compliance with DoD, DoN, and NAVSEA cybersecurity requirements. This role involves leading the development and management of cybersecurity strategy, personnel, and policies to maintain Navy information systems' confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage cybersecurity strategy, personnel, and policies
• Ensure compliance with DoD and Navy directives
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the information security program
• Oversee system accreditation, certification, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes
• Cook with Navy leadership, program managers, and IT stakeholders to integrate cybersecurity into operations and acquisitions

Requirements

• Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent STEM degree
• Eight (8) years of experience coordinating with various levels of an organization to oversee and manage information security program implementation
• Managed cyber strategy, personnel, infrastructure, policy enforcement, emergency planning, security awareness, and/or other resources
• Navy experience a plus!
• One of the following certifications: CAP, CASP+, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), GSLC, CCISO, HCISPP
• An Operating System (OS) / Computing Environment (CE) level certification

Qualifications

Secret or TS with SSBI Investigation, or TS/SCI
