Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, maintain and optimize enterprise security tools, including new tool features and tool integrations
  • Manage tool lifecycle activities including upgrades, migrations, patching, capacity planning and decommissioning
  • Primary technical owner for assigned security tools/platforms
  • Develop automation and an engineering first approach to reduce manual efforts
  • Partner with security operations to ensure tools support operational workflows
  • Establish metrics, KPIs and maturity roadmaps for security tooling effectiveness
  • Ensure tools are configured, proactively monitored and maintained according to security best practices
  • Participate in change management operations and other shared duties

Requirements

  • 4-year bachelors degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience required
  • 8+ years of experience in security technical experience
  • 5+ years of experience in network security
  • Experience with deploying and maintaining enterprise security platforms such as SIEM, EDR, VM, Cloud Security and Security Orchestration and Automation tools
  • Strong scripting and automation skills including Python and experience building automation workflows, integrations or tooling to support security operations
  • Experience with Windows and Linux server administration

This position is based in our Reston, VA office and offers a hybrid work schedule.

The pay range is $135,800 - $183,800. The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience. Verisign offers a discretionary bonus which is based on individual and company performance, and certain roles may be eligible for discretionary stock awards.
