About the role
We are seeking a Manager of Information Security Systems Engineering for a hybrid leadership and technical role in cybersecurity.
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of 12+ Information Security Systems Engineers (ISSEs), overseeing workload, training, and career development.
- Interface with internal stakeholders to scope work, monitor progress, and ensure quality deliverables within budget and schedule.
- Perform Control Account Management duties on Earned Value (EV) programs, tracking project performance.
- Ensure systems meet security standards per ICD 503, RMF, and NIST 800-53, and support cybersecurity accreditation processes.
- Collaborate with design engineers and software teams to incorporate cybersecurity requirements early in development.
- Develop security documentation such as System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports (RARs), and Security Control Traceability Matrices for system authorization.
- Apply vulnerability scanning, analyze system specifications, and support secure software development practices.
- Maintain technical certifications and actively support continuous process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Graduate Degree in a STEM field with 7-9+ years of related experience.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity standards, RMF, and system security requirements.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for security clearance.
- Travel required and adherence to security protocols.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with INCOSE Systems Engineering processes, system specification analysis, and system accreditation, especially for aerospace systems.
- Ability to oversee work products across the systems engineering lifecycle and support system security on aircraft.
