Information Security Systems Engineer

About the role

The Information Security Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure systems and networks. They ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security solutions for various systems and networks.
• Conduct security assessments and risk analyses to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations.
• Develop and maintain security policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure security measures are integrated into overall IT infrastructure.
• Stay updated with the latest security threats and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in Information Security or related field.
• Knowledge of network architecture, security protocols, and encryption techniques.
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• CISSP certification preferred.
• Experience with cloud-based security solutions.
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages like Python or PowerShell.

Skills

• Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with SQL databases.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, etc.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually.

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
