About the role

Location: Columbia, SC

Job Summary: As an Information Security Administrator, you’ll be on the front lines of protecting our systems, data, and people. This hands-on role is all about identifying risks, implementing solutions, and strengthening our overall security posture. You’ll partner across IT, engineering, legal, and business teams to keep our operations secure—while also helping guide safe and responsible use of emerging technologies like AI.

What will you do?

  • Identify, remediate, and validate security vulnerabilities across systems, cloud platforms, and applications
  • Manage and optimize security tools such as EDR, SIEM, vulnerability management, MFA, and DLPM
  • Monitor alerts and logs, investigate suspicious activity, and support incident response efforts
  • Implement security controls, system hardening, and least-privilege access practices
  • Conduct risk assessments and partner with teams to execute remediation plan
  • Support Identity & Access Management processes, including user access reviews
  • Ensure timely patching and vulnerability remediation
  • Collaborate with AI and data teams to support secure development and usage of AI solutions
  • Evaluate AI tools for privacy and data risks and implement appropriate safeguards
  • Affirm security policies, standards, and procedures
  • Support audits, compliance activities, and third-party risk assessments
  • Promote security awareness and best practices across the organization

What makes you a great catch?

  • 7+ years of experience in Information Security, IT Security, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience implementing security controls and endpoint security tools
  • Strong knowledge of Identity & Access Management and cloud security (M365, Azure, AWS)
  • Experience with vulnerability management, patching, and remediation processes
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel) and log analysis
  • Solid understanding of networking and system administration fundamentals
  • Experience responding to and managing security incidents
  • Ability to translate technical risks into practical, business-focused solutions
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash) is a plus
  • Security certifications (Security+, SSCP, CySA+, etc.) are a bonus
  • Experience with AI security, data privacy, or vendor risk is highly valued
