About the role

Nashville General Hospital is hiring for an Information Desk Operator for Telecommunications as a full-time position in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is responsible for answering calls, inquiries, and maintaining records.

Responsibilities

• Answering incoming calls and directing them to the proper department; transferring calls; routing emergency calls.
• Placing long-distance and local calls as required.
• Paging appropriate personnel.
• Answering inquiries when possible.
• Assisting in maintaining up-to-date listings and files.
• Maintaining records of station calls.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of switchboard operator experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
