About the role
An Information Assurance Policy Analyst is needed to lead initiatives to modernize classified access and sharing for the Department of War and Defense Industrial Base, focusing on CIaaS solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop innovative access and compliance strategies for physical and information security, including SCIFs and SAPFs, adhering to ICD-705, RMF, eMASS, and ATO standards.
- Interpret and navigate complex security regulations, leveraging dual experience as an ISSM and SSO/PSO.
- Facilitate collaboration across agencies, resolve security disputes, and advise leadership on infrastructure decisions.
- Create security procedures, SOPs, and decision memoranda, managing staffing and approval packages via CATMS.
- Evaluate policies, identify logistical challenges, and recommend improvements, tracking progress through reports.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or related field with 12+ years of experience is required.
Skills
- Hands-on experience as an ISSM and SSO/PSO, with expertise in RMF, eMASS, and ATO processes.
- Deep knowledge of physical, personnel, and industrial security standards, especially ICD-705 for SCIFs/SAPFs.
- Proficiency with DoD staffing processes and systems like CATMS.
- Strong ability to evaluate policies, resolve cross-domain issues, and modernize classified infrastructure.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with cloud security frameworks, FedRAMP, and CIaaS architectures.
- Experience supporting defense or intelligence security policy offices.
- Advanced degrees in Cybersecurity Policy or related fields.
- Experience authoring security directives and interagency agreements.
Clearance
An active TS/SCI clearance is required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph.
