Information Assurance Policy Analyst

About the role

The Policy Analyst will support the client’s Information Assurance Policy program team within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO).

Responsibilities

• Support development and maintenance of information technology related policies.
• Collaborate across divisions and key stakeholders to ensure appropriate checks and balances for IT acquisitions.
• Provide policy guidance and review federal policy and law related to CIO responsibilities.
• Develop, revise, or summarize policies, standards, procedures, or guidance for diverse audiences.
• Analyze, interpret, and synthesize policy documents, with emphasis on information security, cybersecurity, or infosec policies.
• Assess policy impacts, identify gaps or inconsistencies, and recommend improvements based on stakeholder input and research.
• Establish tools and redesign processes to facilitate a more agile policy development process.
• Automate parts of the policy development and compliance process to improve efficiency and drive cost savings.

Requirements

• An ACTIVE TOP SECRET federal security clearance.
• A Bachelor’s degree (waivable if 8+ years of experience).
• Five (5) or more years of professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience analyzing, interpreting, and synthesizing policy documents, with emphasis on information security, cybersecurity, or infosec policies.
• Proven ability to write to or about information security policies, including drafting, revising, or summarizing policies, standards, procedures, or guidance for diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical skills to assess policy impacts, identify gaps or inconsistencies, and recommend improvements based on stakeholder input and research.
• Ability to work in an office setting in either Washington, DC or Huntsville, AL full-time.
• US Citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with developing Information Assurance policies, procedures, or standard operating procedures.
• Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.
• Department of Justice experience is a plus.

Skills

• Strong program management subject matter expertise.
• Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the enterprise.
• Experience establishing tools and redesigning processes to facilitate a more agile policy development process.
• Experience automating parts of the policy development and compliance process to improve efficiency and drive cost savings.

Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $113,000.00-$188,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Schedule

The Policy Analyst will work full-time in an office setting in either Washington, DC or Huntsville, AL.
