Informatics Technical Specialist II

About the role

The Informatics Technical Specialist II role is within the Core Diagnostics Business Unit, focusing on digital health solutions. The role is based in the East Region of the USA and involves working with diagnostic solutions used globally in hospitals, laboratories, and clinics.

Responsibilities

• Complex deliveries and escalation management
• Client-facing role requiring excellent communication, critical thinking, and soft skills
• Ensuring high client satisfaction and revenue generation through successful implementation of informatics solutions
• Creating implementation plans and collaborating with other informatics specialists for a smooth transition
• Understanding and managing diagnostics laboratory workflows and related technologies
• Implementing, configuring, and integrating laboratory information systems, middleware, and analyzer management systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, medical technology, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of informatics technical application experience in hospital or laboratory settings
• Minimum of 3 years of systems/instrument software integration and support experience
• Must be able to travel up to 80%

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in Lab Operations
• At least 2 years of experience working on-site with customer-facing solutions
• 3 or more years of experience installing, configuring, and/or maintaining diagnostics laboratory informatics applications
• At least 2 years of experience with utilizing analytical skills in informatics using various tools
• Proven ability to execute tasks with high commitment and quality, independently, and solve complex problems
• Experience with database management and healthcare interface
