Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary operational point of contact for inbound IAM and cloud security requests from engineering, product, and business teams.
  • Execute and provision secure access controls across our multi-cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP) following the principle of least privilege.
  • Manage the IAM ticketing queue (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow), triaging, troubleshooting, and resolving access issues and security requests efficiently.
  • Continuously monitor IAM logs, identify access anomalies, and conduct regular access reviews to ensure compliance with security policies.
  • Help document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and identify opportunities to streamline or automate recurring operational requests.
  • Assist in responding to and remediating active identity-related security alerts or unauthorized access incidents.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalency) plus 6 years of directly related work experience, or a master's degree (or equivalency) plus 4 years of directly related work experience.
  • 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (e.g., a bachelor's degree counts as 4 years of experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Security Operations (SecOps), IAM Operations, IT Support Tier 3, or a closely related technical operations role.
  • Hands-on experience navigating and managing permissions within cloud platforms (e.g., AWS IAM, Azure AD/Entra ID, Google Cloud IAM).
  • Solid understanding of user lifecycle management, role-based access control (RBAC), and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
  • Experience managing and resolving high-volume technical requests using ticketing systems.
  • Strong customer-service mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Familiarity with modern Single Sign-On (SSO) platforms like Okta, Ping Identity, or Azure AD.
  • Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or Bash) to help automate routine tasks.
  • Relevant foundational certifications (e.g., Security+, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner).
