Info Security Student Worker - Student Worker Paraprofesisonal Sr.
About the role
This position will be part of the Enterprise Security team, which embeds security protection statewide. This position exists to support Minnesota IT Services security, performing a variety of tasks that support security in the areas of governance, monitoring, secure development, engineering, and/or vulnerability and threat management.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and maintenance of security policies and procedures.
- Assist in the monitoring of security systems and networks.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of security tools and processes.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to enhance security measures.
- Collaborate with other security teams to ensure comprehensive security coverage.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college program as a junior, senior, or graduate student.
- Student Worker Eligibility - To be eligible for an appointment as a Student Worker Paraprofessional, you must be enrolled in a post-secondary or graduate educational program or plan to enroll within three months.
- Experience with information security operations or design.
- Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties.
- Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem solving.
Qualifications
- Education: Student Worker Eligibility - To be eligible for an appointment as a Student Worker Paraprofessional, you must be enrolled in a post-secondary or graduate educational program or plan to enroll within three months.
- Experience: Educational or practical experience with information security operations, or design.
- Programming or scripting experience.
- Technical writing experience.
- Experience defining and implementing security tools and processes.
- Entry-level certification such as CompTIA Security+.

$20.20 - $24.02 / hourly
