About the role
The Infection Preventionist (IP) and Staff Development Coordinator roles at Summit City! are dedicated to protecting the health and safety of residents and staff. The IP ensures compliance with state and federal regulations and educates staff and residents on infection prevention practices. The Staff Development Coordinator conducts various training and assessment activities to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Assess staff education needs and develop and implement training programs.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to infection prevention.
- Conduct skills competencies, training, clinical observations, and quality assurance audits.
- Support new employee hiring processes.
- Engage with staff to promote recognition and retention programs.
Requirements
- Active Indiana RN license or ability to obtain one.
- Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Training through the CDC (provided at this facility).
- Advanced training in infection prevention and control.
- Demonstrate C.A.R.E. values to residents, families, customers, and staff.
