Education
Graduate of an accredited RN or LPN school of nursing with current AR licensure.
Training and Experience
- Three years’ experience in clinical practice.
- Experience in healthcare infection control, associate health, and data analytics desired.
Job Knowledge
- Understanding of the principles of asepsis, epidemiology, microbiology, the development of policy and procedures, patient care practices, group dynamics, and knowledge of adult education principles necessary.
- Basic understanding of regulatory processes and guidelines of Arkansas Department of Health, CIHQ, CDC, OSHA and other applicable regulatory agencies desirable.
- Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements such as OSHA, occupational health and safety practices, evaluate medical treatment for associate injuries, physical requirements of jobs, associate health issues.
- Competent in use of computers, especially Microsoft Office.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Brief knowledge of Quality Improvement in the healthcare setting.

Responsibilities
- Coordination and compliance regarding infection control practices and surveillance activities and infection control policy and procedures.
- Coordination and compliance regarding associate health issues, immunizations, TB skin tests.
- Develops and implements policy and procedures.
- Processes associate injury reports and Worker Compensation Claims.
- Prepares statistical reports, meeting minutes, orientation and in-service related materials and typing policies, procedures, and other related correspondence.
- Demonstrates the ability to compile relevant data sources into meaningful reports for use in PI and decision making by the Director and administrative staff.
Other Duties
- Supports the organization’s customer service strategy through communication and interpersonal skills.
- Maintains flexible work hours.
- Able to lift 50 pounds occasionally.
