About the Role

The Infection Prevention (IP) Director is responsible for the Infection Prevention Program within the CoxHealth scope of service as outlined in the Infection Prevention Plan. The program is designed to protect the overall health of patients, families, visitors, staff (paid or volunteer), and physicians who visit or work in any CoxHealth location. The IP Director oversees the Infection Prevention Services Department and all epidemiological activities.

Responsibilities

  • Direct oversight of the Infection Prevention Services Department
  • Management of all epidemiological activities
  • Leadership and team development
  • Data analysis and regulatory compliance
  • Infection Control Risk Assessments
  • Policy development and implementation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Epidemiology, or Public Health (required)
  • Master’s degree or higher in leadership or Healthcare administration (preferred)
  • 3-5 years’ experience in healthcare (required)
  • 2 years of supervisory experience (preferred)
  • 3-5 years' experience in Infection Prevention (preferred)

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Registered Nurse active in the state of Missouri (required)
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) (preferred)
