Director of Infection Prevention

Job Summary

The director of Infection Control & Prevention will oversee infection risk management at HCA Florida North Florida Hospital and HCA Florida Gainesville Hospital. Responsibilities include evaluating and managing infection risks, implementing the Infection Control Program, and ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing, medical technology, clinical laboratory science, Public Health, Microbiology, or Epidemiology - required
• Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Master's Degree in Public Health (MPH) - preferred
• Certification in Infection prevention & Control (CIC) - required
• Knowledge of epidemiology, infectious disease management, microbiology, public health principles, and statistical analysis of clinical data - required
• 5 years Infection Control & Prevention experience in acute care - required
• 3 years of leadership experience - required
• Experience in critical care and/or OR is helpful - optional
