ER at Blue Diamond, an extension of Spring Valley Hospital, is a freestanding emergency department providing 24/7 emergency care to infants, children, and adults. It holds TJC Advanced Certifications in Acute Stroke Ready and Acute Heart Attack Ready.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementation and maintenance of the Infection Control Program’s hospital surveillance.
• Serve as a resource to all hospital departments, participating in identified projects or groups related to Infection Control.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Clinical Microbiology, or other health-related science required. Master’s in Nursing, Education, Epidemiology, Public Health, Clinical Microbiology, or other health-related science preferred.
• Two (2) to five (5) years of clinical experience in a health-related field required.
• One (1) year of experience in Infection Prevention or epidemiology preferred.
• Computer proficiency, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database skills.
• Current State of Nevada license in Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, or other related health science, if applicable.
• Eligible to become certified in Infection Prevention within two (2) years of employment.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of patients served.
