About the role
Evaluates quality of patient care and patient outcomes as they relate to healthcare-associated infections. Collects, prepares, and analyzes healthcare associated infection data, presents the data, and provides recommendations for actions. Monitors compliance in use of barriers and infection prevention measures. Prepares and presents educational offerings for staff and serves as a resource for staff. Collaborates and assists with the hospital’s employee health program. Plans and collects data for continuous QI and monitoring/reporting communicable diseases to the state as required by law and regulatory standards.

- Maintains compliance in use of barriers and infection prevention measures.
- Prepares and presents educational offerings for staff and serves as a resource for staff.
- Collaborates and assists with the hospital’s employee health program.
- Plans and collects data for continuous QI and monitoring/reporting communicable diseases to the state as required by law and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Current West Virginia license to practice as a registered nurse.
- Three (3) years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience as a Registered Nurse.
Qualifications
- No formal education required.

- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
