Infection Control Nurse

About the role

As an Infection Control Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients and staff. Our organization is committed to providing a maintenance program for individuals with mental illness, and our infection control team is dedicated to preventing and controlling the spread of infections in our facilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures
• Conduct regular surveillance and monitoring of hospital-acquired infections
• Identify and investigate potential infection control breaches
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure compliance with infection control guidelines
• Provide education and training on infection control best practices to staff
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure in the state of Kansas
• Experience in infection control and/or nursing leadership
• Strong knowledge of infection control principles and guidelines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
