Infection Control and Wound RN

About the role

The Infection Control and Wound Nurse (ICN/WCN) assists the IDT in wound care and prevention, infection control and prevention. This role is independent of general staff education, but includes education in wound care, indwelling lines, and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Works well independently and collaborates with the IDT to ensure best practice and care standards are met.
• Rounds weekly with the Wound MD to assess new wounds and ensure treatment orders are in place.
• Willingness to learn and teach, and collaborates with the IDT to ensure best practice and care standards are met.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Experience preferred, but willing to train a motivated candidate.
