Infant/Toddler Teacher for Early Head Start

About the Role

Join our team as a nurturing Infant/Toddler Teacher at Central Missouri Community Action’s Head Start center in Columbia. You will positively influence the lives of children aged infant to 3 years old, fostering their growth and development through evidence-based early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Ensure positive guidance when interacting with children.
• Provide a secure, health-conscious, and well-organized setting to accommodate the needs and requirements of infants and toddlers.
• Maintain the health and safety of children under the care of CMCA.
• Create and maintain a nurturing environment where both children and parents feel comfortable and welcome.
• Tailor approaches to meet the individual needs of the children.
• Integrate Early Childhood Development theory into daily classroom activities.

Requirements

• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or some college coursework required; related college degree preferred.
• Daycare, preschool, or childcare work experience is helpful.
• Experience working with low-income families and children preferred.

Pay

$15.27 to $16.31 per hour.

Schedule

10-hour shift, Tuesday through Friday.
