Our team works with families and caregivers to promote children's well-being in key areas such as motor, cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.

Responsibilities

  • Education and Development: Implement a culturally sensitive educational program using Teaching Strategies Cloud to plan weekly digital lesson plans.
  • Classroom Management: Follow the daily schedule to implement lesson plans, create a balanced daily routine, and adjust the environment to meet the developmental levels of all children.
  • Health and Safety: Conduct daily health checks, follow policies for medical and dental emergencies, and maintain sanitation and hygiene procedures.
  • Family Partnerships: Communicate with families, encourage parent involvement, and plan family involvement activities.
  • Nutrition: Serve meals, assist in kitchen duties, and plan weekly nutrition activities.
  • Training and Communication: Attend staff meetings, trainings, and share information with other staff members.

Requirements

  • Education: PCG I requires a High School Diploma or GED and an Infant Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or FCCPC. Higher levels require specific degrees and additional coursework.
  • Experience: Demonstrated competency in providing effective teacher-child interactions, implementing curriculum, and working with diverse families.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to maintain confidentiality and confidentiality.
  • Certifications: TB screening & physical, DCF required 45 hr training, Food Handlers Course, First Aid and CPR training, and ongoing in-service training.

Qualifications

  • Physical Abilities: Acceptable eyesight, hearing, and physical strength to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Environmental Conditions: Constant visual supervision of children and tolerance of loud noise.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $18.44 - $23.31 per hour.
