About the role
The Occupational Therapy team at Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is seeking an Infant Therapist to join our dedicated and skilled professionals. This position is part of a collaborative team that supports patients in building their confidence and reaching full potential in mobility, communication, and daily living skills.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate infant patients and develop therapeutic plans
- Provide family-centered care
- Educate families on infant development and care
- Document patient care accurately
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures
- Participate in training and quality management activities
- Serve as a clinical resource
Requirements
- Current Hawai‘i Occupational Therapy license and National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification
- Current American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) certification for Speech Pathologists
- Current American Heart Association Heart Saver – AED CPR card
- Two (2) years of clinical experience, including one (1) year in infants and pediatrics
- One (1) year general occupational therapy or speech language therapy experience preferred
- One (1) year of acute care hospital experience preferred
- Previous experience with Pediatric population preferred
