Infant Therapist

About the role

The Occupational Therapy team at Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is seeking an Infant Therapist to join our dedicated and skilled professionals. This position is part of a collaborative team that supports patients in building their confidence and reaching full potential in mobility, communication, and daily living skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate infant patients and develop therapeutic plans
• Provide family-centered care
• Educate families on infant development and care
• Document patient care accurately
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures
• Participate in training and quality management activities
• Serve as a clinical resource

Requirements

• Current Hawai‘i Occupational Therapy license and National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification
• Current American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) certification for Speech Pathologists
• Current American Heart Association Heart Saver – AED CPR card
• Two (2) years of clinical experience, including one (1) year in infants and pediatrics
• One (1) year general occupational therapy or speech language therapy experience preferred
• One (1) year of acute care hospital experience preferred
• Previous experience with Pediatric population preferred
