- Translate mission, operational, cybersecurity, and commercial requirements into scalable product and platform designs.
- Serve as a point of contact across cyber, software, hardware, AI, space, ground, cloud, and user environments.
- Establish reusable engineering standards, design patterns, integration approaches, and technical quality gates.
- Evaluate trade-offs across security, performance, resiliency, cost, maintainability, operability, and time to market.
- Support integration across embedded systems, spacecraft, ground segments, cloud environments, AI/ML pipelines, and user-facing applications.
- Analyze system interfaces, dependencies, constraints, failure modes, and operational scenarios.
- Develop reference architectures and reusable technical patterns that can support multiple clients and environments.
- Support pilots, co-development efforts, first-of-kind deployments, and transition into repeatable commercial offerings.
- Contribute to technical delivery roadmaps aligned with client needs, mission priorities, and market opportunities.
- Establish secure approaches for identity, key management, secure boot, secure updates, segmentation, data protection, logging, telemetry, and supply-chain security.
- Translate applicable compliance requirements into executable engineering controls and compliance-ready designs.
- Participate in architecture reviews, risk assessments, incident response, and critical technical decisions.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to engineering teams, clients, executives, and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a product engineer, solution architect, systems architect, technical product specialist, or in a similar role delivering complex cyber, aerospace, space, embedded, or mission-critical systems.
- Experience delivering complex, multidisciplinary cyber and/or space systems into production and operations.
- Deep experience designing secure architectures across cloud, on-premises, hybrid, and space or embedded environments.
- Strong systems-thinking and integration experience, including interfaces, constraints, dependencies, failure modes, and operational considerations.
- Demonstrated authorship of reference architectures, design patterns, platforms, or reusable technical frameworks adopted by multiple teams.
- Experience developing productized solutions for deployment across multiple clients, programs, or operating environments.
