Industry Relations Manager
Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a remote Industry Relations Manager to join our Transportation Technologies team. This role focuses on maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders in the collision repair industry and promoting the CAPA program.
About the role
This is a remote position based in the United States. The Industry Relations Manager will travel at least 50% of the time, including local and international travel. The role involves developing and maintaining relationships with key industry stakeholders, serving as a main point of contact, and supporting new business processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders and research/build relationships with new clients through meetings, tours, and training sessions.
- Serve as a main point of contact for key stakeholders; draft executive talking points and anticipate client needs by understanding their business and how the program benefits them.
- Identify and establish key areas to develop, highlighting the program and company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
- Aid in new business processes including idea contribution, research, and proposal preparation based on industry experience and client feedback.
- Use best practice communications tactics and public relations tools; make recommendations on best methods to internal teams.
- Complete and/or conduct media interviews and preparation.
- Attend industry functions, disseminate information to internal teams, and provide recommendations on program modifications as needed.
- Work with diverse teams (engineering, operations, marketing) in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- 5+ years of experience in the automotive collision industry.
- Previous experience in supporting sales for quotations.
- Self-motivated, assertive, and able to work independently.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and superior presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of computer systems, e.g., Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel at least 50% of the time, including local and international travel.
- Physical dexterity/mobility to travel via car, airplane, and perform all clerical functions inherent to the position.
- Detail-oriented with strong prioritization, organization, and time management skills.
- Customer-focused and quality-driven.
- Must reside in and be able to legally work in the United States.
