About the role
Support Industrial Trials in accordance with the R&D roadmap. Manage formulation, process chart, related paperwork, recording documents and processes. Provide technical support to NAM DTS team with performing physical and chemical analysis and reporting results. Ensure technical support and troubleshooting to all departments. Make propositions for continuously improve our process, products and programs.
Responsibilities
- Industrialization:
- Support engineers and management team in qualification trials by: assisting to opening and closing trial reviews with quality, purchasing and industrial; preparing the documentation for the trial: formulation and production paperwork; aligning with scheduling team on trial dates, monitoring trial schedule changes and communicating coverage needs to the trial team
- Executing scale up trials in industrial plant
- Support the execution of other ITS trials when needed
- Locating / staging raw materials and ingredients prior to trials
- Training operators during scale up of the product
- Adapting work hours according to the production schedule during trial days
- Trouble shoot, ensure good reporting on production paperwork
- Supporting project execution: pilots, coatings, tests planning, analytical and palatability results
- Report technical information in project documents and communicate results to engineer and manager
- Ensure follow-up after product validation in production (first 10 production batches)
- Production recipes management: Per the directions of the ITS manager or ITS engineer:
- Create Bill of Material in ERP and corresponding equipment (blender, reactor, drier)
- Validate and update formulas
- Modify formulas to ensure business continuity
- Ensure that formulation and paperwork are available, correct and will be respected
- Provide formulas for rework
- Analytical support: Support Scientists, engineers and management team in analytical requests execution:
- Execute based on assigned timeline chemical and physical analysis on products
- Report results in defined reporting documents
- Participate in analytical methods updates and equipment calibration / maintenance
- Initiatives:
- To report to management about any malfunctioning into the system and take relevant short term corrective action and propose long term options
- To constantly improve the communication system (paperwork, computers…)

- Frequent safe lifting of up to 50lbs is required

Qualifications
- High School diploma required
- 1 to 5 years work experience is required
- Experience in food manufacturing is preferred
- GMP and Hygiene practices knowledge is preferred
