Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, commissioning, and optimization of industrial wastewater collection and treatment systems.
- Help manufacturers solve complex water quality, compliance, and operational challenges.
- Serve as the process technical lead on multidisciplinary projects, guiding treatment technology selection, hydraulics, utility integration, and overall system performance.
- Develop innovative treatment solutions through treatability studies, process modeling, mass balances, hydraulic evaluations, and pilot testing.
- Support informed client decisions by providing treatability studies, process modeling, mass balances, hydraulic evaluations, and pilot testing.
- Deliver complex treatment solutions to clients.
- Prepare treatment alternatives, cost estimates, construction documents, operating procedures, and other project deliverables from concept through startup.
- Manage technical teams in project execution.
- Work closely with industrial clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders to navigate permitting requirements, maintain environmental compliance, and deliver practical, implementation-ready solutions.
- Provide troubleshooting, optimization, and strategic project planning support to clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental, chemical, or mechanical engineering.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer ideal or ability to obtain within 3 months.
- 10 or more years of experience designing water or wastewater solutions.
- Demonstrated experience interfacing with clients and successfully leading teams within multi-discipline projects.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Able to manage multiple initiatives.
- Able to travel as required for project/client responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain.
- Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight.
- Rarely lift up to 50 pounds.
- May require wearing Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
- Occasionally inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
- Occasionally work evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload.
- May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town.
