Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, commissioning, and optimization of industrial wastewater collection and treatment systems.
- Help manufacturers solve complex water quality, compliance, and operational challenges.
- Serve as the process technical lead on multidisciplinary projects, guiding treatment technology selection, hydraulics, utility integration, and overall system performance.
- Develop innovative treatment solutions through treatability studies, process modeling, mass balances, hydraulic evaluations, and pilot testing.
- Support informed client decisions by providing detailed project deliverables from concept through startup.
- Direct technical teams in preparing treatment alternatives, cost estimates, construction documents, operating procedures, and other project deliverables.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients by troubleshooting existing systems, identifying opportunities for optimization, and supporting business development through proposals, presentations, and strategic project planning.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental, chemical, or mechanical engineering.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer ideal or ability to obtain within 3 months.
- 10 or more years of experience designing water or wastewater solutions.
- Demonstrated experience interfacing with clients and successfully leading teams within multi-discipline projects.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Able to effectively manage multiple initiatives.
- Able to travel as required for project/client responsibilities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain.
- Stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight.
- Rarely lift up to 50 pounds.
- May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds.
- Inspection of equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
- Occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload.
- May require occasional overnight stays out of town.
