Industrial Wastewater Senior Project Engineer

Full-time

Lead the planning, design, commissioning, and optimization of industrial wastewater collection and treatment systems.
Help manufacturers solve complex water quality, compliance, and operational challenges.
Serve as the process technical lead on multidisciplinary projects, guiding treatment technology selection, hydraulics, utility integration, and overall system performance.
Develop innovative treatment solutions through treatability studies, process modeling, mass balances, hydraulic evaluations, and pilot testing.
Support informed client decisions by providing detailed project deliverables from concept through startup.
Direct technical teams in preparing treatment alternatives, cost estimates, construction documents, operating procedures, and other project deliverables.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients by troubleshooting existing systems, identifying opportunities for optimization, and supporting business development through proposals, presentations, and strategic project planning.

Bachelor’s degree in environmental, chemical, or mechanical engineering.
Registration as a Professional Engineer ideal or ability to obtain within 3 months.
10 or more years of experience designing water or wastewater solutions.
Demonstrated experience interfacing with clients and successfully leading teams within multi-discipline projects.
Strong communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Able to effectively manage multiple initiatives.
Able to travel as required for project/client responsibilities.

Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain.
Stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight.
Rarely lift up to 50 pounds.
May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds.
Inspection of equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
Occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload.
May require occasional overnight stays out of town.
