Industrial Sewing Machine Operators

About the role

Busy inflatable manufacturing company is looking for a dependable Industrial Sewing Machine Operator with great attention to detail to join our sewing team in our El Cajon facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machine to join cut fabric parts to fabricate advertising inflatables
• Sort fabric and pieces
• Follow templates and patterns
• Perform gluing tasks (PVC adhesives)
• Manipulate canvases and fabrics of different weights
• Follow written and verbal instructions
• Lift, push, or pull 20 to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Accept warehouse assignments as requested by management or Plant Manager

Requirements

• Sewing experience is required (no on-the-job training provided)
• Ability to work seated for 8 hours a day and work independently
• Ability to read sewing instructions and patterns
• Strong attention to detail and desire to sew quality products
• Willingness to work in a team, learn, and help others
• Minimum availability of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

Pay

Pay varies depending on sewing experience. Candidates will take a sewing test to assess experience level.
