Industrial Services Supervisor
HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is seeking a Supervisor IS (Industrial Services) to work at a customer location and join a safety-conscious team.
About the role
This position oversees two or more crews by planning, leading, organizing, and coordinating daily operations. Responsibilities include ensuring proper equipment operation, driving operational efficiencies, maintaining accurate job documentation, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The Supervisor IS also fosters strong customer relations by delivering quality, timely industrial cleaning services and serves as the company representative in client interactions.
Responsibilities
- Instruct, provide feedback, direct, and assist crew in performing job duties to meet client requirements and company policies.
- Enforce company employee policies; remove employees from job sites when necessary.
- Schedule jobs and crews as needed.
- Dispatch crews based on calls received during nights and weekends.
- Act as Operations Manager or Branch Manager upon request.
- Review work orders to ensure all required equipment is available and operational before starting a job.
- Inspect equipment and work areas prior to job commencement; correct deficiencies to prevent accidents, injuries, or productivity loss.
- Communicate job status and client requirements to the client as needed.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment.
- Complete all required paperwork, including service receipts, and submit to designated management.
- Train Technicians and Operators on equipment operation, service line processes, and necessary documentation.
- Operate equipment (chemical, hydro-blasting, painting, blasting, vacuum) in accordance with training and safety procedures.
- Calculate load weights for manifest completion.
- Issue manifests correctly per waste stream, transporter, TSDF, and purchase order.
- Maintain a filing system for issued and returned manifests.
- Assist HPC drivers with Win Web ticket entries as necessary.
- Schedule pit loads at TSDF(s).
- Coordinate roll-off logistics (moves, re-spots, deliveries) with the Health department.
- Conduct weekly inspections of roll-offs and coordinate water and oil removal with the vac truck supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and ability in people management.
- Strong knowledge of operating equipment used in the service line.
- Ability to comprehend English, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel; Microsoft Access is a plus.
- Experience with Win Web (HPC Software).
- Attention to detail and high organizational skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience troubleshooting equipment (preferred).
- CDL, forklift, and backhoe certification to assist with plant operations as needed.
