Schedule
Monday–Friday, approximately 50% travel throughout the United States
About the role
This is a hands-on, customer-facing technical position combining equipment installation, troubleshooting, repair, training, and field service. You’ll have a high level of independence in the field while still having the resources and support of a large national organization behind you. Approximately 50% of your time will involve travel, giving you the opportunity to work with different customers, facilities, equipment, and teams throughout the country.
Responsibilities
- Travel to customer and branch locations throughout the United States to install, service, troubleshoot, and support equipment
- Coordinate equipment installations and service calls for vendor and customer accounts
- Troubleshoot and repair packaging, warehouse, fastening, and industrial equipment
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control-system issues
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Coordinate communication between sales, production, technicians, customers, vendors, and internal service teams
- Train customers and end users on proper equipment operation and basic service procedures
- Train and support other Service Technicians working with industrial accounts
- Assist sales teams with the onboarding and implementation of national and industrial customers
- Participate in technical training alongside internal service teams and vendor partners
- Help identify additional service opportunities within existing customer operations
- Represent our client professionally while working directly inside customer facilities
Requirements
- 3–5 years of hands-on industrial service, maintenance, equipment repair, or field service experience
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing packaging, warehouse, manufacturing, or similar industrial equipment
- Experience working with pneumatic fastening tools or related equipment
- Strong understanding of electrical control systems and industrial mechanical systems
- Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Experience supporting industrial, commercial, or national customer accounts
- Confidence communicating directly with customers, vendors, sales representatives, and technicians
- Ability to independently organize service visits and travel
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to regularly lift and move equipment weighing more than 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in manufacturing, warehouse, and industrial environments that may include temperature extremes
