About the role

Collins Aerospace is seeking an Industrial Security Specialist for a multi-faceted role supporting Special Programs in our San Jose, CA location.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), DoD Manual 5205.07, NISPOM, and other applicable industrial and special program security guidance.
  • Develop, update, and administer security plans, including SOPs, OPSEC plans, and CONOPs.
  • Create and deliver security education, training, and awareness programs such as indoctrinations, refresher training, and debriefings.
  • Conduct internal self-inspections, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform peer reviews at other locations to support broader security compliance.
  • Participate in government compliance inspections and execute required follow-up actions.
  • Manage program security administrative functions, including personnel processing, visitor control, program investigations, Top Secret accountability, alarm testing, document/material dispatch and receipt, and resolution of related issues.
  • Oversee physical security and construction requirements for SAPFs and SCIFs in alignment with ICD 705, including preparing and submitting pre-construction and accreditation packages, FFCs, and TEMPEST documentation.
  • May travel up to 10% (domestic).

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Relevant experience executing security processes and projects within special access program and collateral environments.
  • Industrial security experience, preferably in a Facility Security Officer (FSO) or Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) role.
  • Ability to collaborate with team members, government customers, employees, and organizational leaders, and to develop solutions to complex problems using established problem-solving methods.
  • Ability to prepare written materials and present information verbally to internal and external stakeholders to convey compliance requirements.
  • Active and transferable Top-Secret SCI (TS/SCI) U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain a polygraph after start. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
