• Mon & Tues: 11PM - 7AM (plus flexibility to work additional days / shifts)

About the role

The Industrial Security Shift Supervisor helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a supervisor of Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other company personnel assigned to one or more posts at client site(s); acts to ensure that all post orders are followed, that established rounds are completed, and that required reports are filed;
• Notifies proper authorities and client in emergency situations;
• Coaches and disciplines personnel as appropriate; seeks advice from company management or designated representatives as appropriate; meets personally with employees and documents coaching and disciplinary actions;
• Trains Security Officers and other company personnel; reviews post orders and other details of assignments with subordinates;
• In conjunction with company management or designated representatives ensures adequate coverage of all posts and positions;
• Prepares, files, and submits various reports as required;
• Inspects posts as scheduled and meets with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities;
• Mets with client representatives as scheduled or as needed to provide assurance that all security requirements are being met and to provide quality customer service;
• Access control duties - badging visitors. Monitoring cameras. Assisting with writing schedules.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.

Qualifications

• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• 2 years of supervisor experience or previous security experience required.
• Driver certification.
