Industrial Project Manager

About the role

This position will be located in either HDR’s Charleston or Greenville office, supporting a growing Industrial market sector in manufacturing. They may also support clients and projects in agribusiness, food and beverage, oil and gas, mining, and aggregates industries.

Responsibilities

• Project leadership, management of multidisciplinary teams
• Understanding of scope of work, schedule, and budget
• Client interaction (pre-positioning, proposal development, project completion)
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams
• Responsible for all aspects of complex small to medium projects or routine large projects
• Establish and maintain client relations
• Marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
• Deliverable development coordination
• Staffing and workload coordination
• Financial aspect tracking and adjustment
• QA/QC procedures implementation

Requirements

• Master's degree
• PMP certification
• Experience managing engineering projects for Advanced Manufacturing industry
• Local candidates preferred
• Bachelor's degree in related field
• 7 years related experience
• 2 years project management experience
• Able to interact with various design teams
• Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Active participant of our employee-owned culture

Qualifications

• Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree, PMP certification
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field, 7 years related experience, 2 years project management experience

Skills

The successful candidate should be familiar with engineering disciplines involved on manufacturing and industrial projects, as well as implementation of QAQC procedures.
